Myriam has been active in the 4x4 community for 3 years. The four-wheeling bug got her at a Jeep Jamboree and there's been no turning back. Myriam, and her better half Robert, alternate four-wheeling with her Rubicon and his H1. They have been members of the Northern Alberta 4 Wheel Drive Association for a couple of years.
One thing that Myriam has found with four-wheeling is that friendships quickly develop through common interests. When they are not out on a relaxing trail ride you can find them scuba diving or backcountry camping/hiking. Regardless, if it is under water or in the countryside, Myriam strongly believes in respecting and preserving these places for the future generations.
Myriam works as a Quality Assurance Manager in a highly regulated branch of the health care system.

Kim has her fiancé to blame for her interest in wheeling. Their first date in 2000 was a 2-day camping trip in his 1983 Toyota pick-up (Toy) to Ruby Falls with NA4WDA. After that, it was love… for wheeling and of course for Dale, the man who introduced her to the sport. Their second trip did not go quite as well, as it included a gentle roll and an inadvertent cold-water dip, but she stuck with it and in 2002 purchased her own 1982 Toyota pick-up (Yoda). Kim has been an active member of NA4WDA since 2000 and served as Membership Director from 2002-2005. She and her fiancé have also served as a trail guides for Land Rover, and thoroughly enjoy introducing new people to this fantastic sport.
Kim has an extensive background in automotives thanks to her Dad (a.k.a. Red Green), who taught her a lot about ingenuity (an essential for wheeling). She is an honours NAIT Automotive Certificate program graduate, as well as a Journeyman Partsman. In 2004, it was time for a change, so she left her job as assistant service manager to find out what she really wants to do when she grows up. She is currently a student at the University of Alberta, and is anticipating her acceptance into the Occupational Therapy program in the fall of 2006. Kim says,” the best thing about wheeling is the friendships and the memories you make. Wheeling just puts life into perspective because out there – everyone needs everyone else, which is an uncommon idea in today’s individualistic society.” She is proud to be part of the interim AB4WD executive team.

Peter Straub began his affair with Land Cruisers and wheeling in 1986 when he learned to drive in his parents Cruiser. A decade later, he acquired that very Land Cruiser, and it has since become his main ride on the trails for almost 10 years. In that time, Peter revived a faltering chapter of the Toyota Land Cruiser association based in Calgary: the Rocky Mountain Land Cruiser Association. In addition to being the President of that 25 member chapter for over 8 years, he's also, most recently, become the Vice President for the Alberta United Recreationists Society.
Working as an IT project manager for Xerox Global Services during the day, Peter spends much of his leisure time working at his Calgary based shop, christened the Gopher Hole. This shop serves as the home base for Prairie Dog Parts, an importer and wholesaler for specialized aftermarket parts for Land Cruisers. Peter has volunteered to assist the Alberta Four Wheel Drive Association with the mechanics of it's revival operations.
