Integrated Land Management (ILM)
AB4WD attended a 3-day ILM workshop in Edmonton in January 2007 titled Integrating Today for a Better Tomorrow. Details can be found in the ILM section: http://www.ab4wd.com/AccessPlans/ILM.html The presentations from the workshop can be seen on the SRD website at: http://www.srd.gov.ab.ca/land/u_ILM_powerpoint.html

Land Use Framework
A new section on our website: http://www.ab4wd.com/AccessPlans/LandUseFramework.html There will be meetings in late spring for public consultation. You are encouraged to attend to get informed and have your voices heard. More information on the meetings will be posted at this link: http://www.landuse.gov.ab.ca/

GAMP
As per our GAMP Representative there have been 4 additional meetings since the last update. The focus of these meetings has been on the formation of the Ghost-Waiparous Stewardship Committee. The following has been defined to date: the term Stakeholder, user, and Character of the Region. Voting also took place on a vision statement for the committee. Also decided on a voting/decision making process, and decided that there will be no alternates for committee members.
Sadly, nothing has yet been discussed regarding trails. The prediction that nothing would be decided about trails until spring of 2007 stands. Our representative continues to request that clubs that want trails in the area be prepared to bring proposals to the committee in the spring for the construction/re-opening of trails for 4x4's in the area. If you would like further information regarding creating proposals please contact GAMP@AB4WD.com.

Committees
AB4WD is looking at creating 2 committees to assist the organization. At this time we are asking for members to step forward to participate in these committees. Ideally we would get representation from all member clubs. Clubs may want to consider their delegates as possible candidates. The plan is that there would be one committee for the north and one committee for the south. Specific details would be discussed further once we have a better indication if there is sufficient support to proceed with this concept. Please contact info@ab4wd.com for participation in these committees.
